Important refund update. Status as of 22nd August 2017.
We have begun the process of issuing full refunds to all entrants who entered online for the 2017 events via our payment processing agent. All but a handful of entrants have already been issued with a full refund by the Mablethorpe Marathon Foundation.
Refunds will be credited to the card you used to pay for your entry.
We have been told by our payment process agent to anticipate refunds hitting your accounts within 5-10 working days.
Taking into account weekends and a bank holiday this could be early September – we hope it is considerably quicker than this, but we have absolutely no control over the speed of the refund as it has now left our account and is working its way through the banking system.
We would ask you to check the account you used to pay and contact us at email@example.com after the 14th of September if you have not received your refund.
Now that the online entrants have been issued a full refund, we are working to refund those who entered manually & deferrals. We would anticipate a similar timescale for refund and ask you to contact us after the 14th September if your cheque hasn’t arrived at the postal address you used when entering the event.
Finally for this update we want to apologise again for any inconvenience, we want to thank you for the kind words, for your unstinting loyalty to the event and for your ongoing patience with us while we deal with this situation as quickly and smoothly as we can.
