The Loewen Cinema is opposite our Race HQ which makes it the perfect partner for our event, and ideal for those wanting something to do on the day before the race or for families who want to keep the children busy until ‘their runner’ crosses the finish line.
Keep checking our website and social media for special runner offers from The Loewen coming later in the year.

The Mablethorpe Marathon Foundation would like to thank Sid Dennis and Sons Ltd for once again supporting the Marathon. Sid Dennis and Sons will be providing large bins free of charge on the day to help support the marathon, half marathon and 5k event. Huge thanks to Coastfields Leisure Ltd
The Mablethorpe Marathon Committee would like to say a huge thank you to Coastfields Leisure Ltd for their generous sponsorship contribution of £500 towards the 2016 Mablethorpe Marathon events. The marathon, now about to celebrate its 10th year would not be possible without this kind of local support. This year, as well as the marathon and half marathon, we are also holding a 5k, which we hope many more will get involved in.
Coastfields Leisure has a reputation for providing beautiful, landscaped parks in the area. For runners and their supporters wishing to stay for any length of time and enjoy the beautiful Mablethorpe beach and the surrounding areas, we recommend Grange Leisure Park which offers luxury caravans in a tranquil rural setting as well as spaces for motorhomes, touring caravans and camping. Should you wish to stay elsewhere along the coast there are other sites in the Coastfields Leisure group at Chapel St Leonards, Ingoldmells & Skegness.

Aftershokz Hit Gold with “The Friendly One”
Cheshire-based AfterShokz and the Mablethorpe Marathon come together in new race partnership.
AfterShokz, the UK’s leading open-ear sports headphone brand, is to partner with us for this year’s Marathon and Half-Marathon events on Sunday 4th October.
Helen Nicholson, Chair of the The Mablethorpe Marathon Foundation said: “We are delighted to have signed this new agreement with AfterShokz and look forward to working alongside the team for the first time at the Mablethorpe Marathon this October.
“We are extremely proud of the Mablethorpe Marathon having been awarded a Gold grade by the British Association of Road Races the highest of the grades which demands the very highest standards of race organisation and provision. We also appreciate that many people train or race with music, and many want to listen to it as they take part in our events, but because conventional headphones are designed to block out ambient sounds, we continue to recommend runners do not use MP3 players with conventional ear buds. AfterShokz headphones are different in that their open ear design, which sits on the jaw bone, keep the ears free to hear ambient sounds which heightens awareness and fosters greater safety.”
AfterShokz President and CEO Bruce Borenstein said: “We’re thrilled to be on board as the official headphone partner of the Mablethorpe Marathon and to support this gold standard race which caters for the needs of runners of all AfterShokz open ear headphones have secured a series of national and international awards for their innovation and design and Mablethorpe Marathon Foundation are offering our runners the chance to obtain this wonderful product at a special promotion price.
